Town Planner
The Town Planner is a key member of Warren’s Codes & Planning Department, playing a pivotal role in guiding the town’s growth and preserving its character. Working in accordance with Warren’s Comprehensive Plan, Maine State Law, and local ordinances (Land Use & Shoreland Zoning), the Town Planner ensures that development is responsible, sustainable, and aligned with community values.
Core Responsibilities

Development Review
Evaluates commercial site plans, subdivisions, shoreland-related proposals, and other development applications to ensure compliance with zoning regulations and environmental standards. -
Plan & Ordinance Development
Drafts updates to land-use policies, comprehensive plans, and zoning regulations to address emerging community needs and state requirements. -
Capital Improvement & Economic Planning
Leads strategic planning for municipal infrastructure, economic initiatives, and grant-driven community projects. Provides technical support to the Planning Board and Municipal Advisory Committee (formerly the TIF Committee).
