A Note of Thanks to Warren’s Public Works Crew

Over the recent storms, Warren’s Public Works crew put in long, demanding hours to keep town roads safe and passable.

From December 23 into December 24, the crew worked roughly 26 continuous hours plowing and treating roads. After standing down, they were called back out unexpectedly on Christmas Day for an additional six hours as conditions changed. During that time, they also handled multiple equipment repairs to keep trucks on the road.

While this work is part of their job, it also comes with real sacrifices—long shifts, disrupted sleep, and time away from family, often during holidays. For Public Works staff, this level of effort is typical during the winter season and is something they prepare for each year.

The Town of Warren appreciates the professionalism, endurance, and quiet dedication shown by the Public Works crew, especially when conditions are at their worst. Their work helps keep residents safe and connected, and we are grateful for their continued service to the community.
