ATTENTION VOTERS OF WARREN! PLEASE READ - 

Effective January 1, 2024

Maine will be transitioning from a closed primary system to a semi-open primary.

Unenrolled voters will now be able to cast a ballot in primaries.

UNENROLLED VOTERS - Voters who are not enrolled in a party - may choose to vote in one party’s primary.

ENROLLED VOTERS - Voters enrolled in a party - may only vote in that party’s primary.

MRSA TITLE 21-A STATES: Restrictions during change of enrollment:  a voter may not vote at a caucus, convention or primary election for 15 days after filing an application to change enrollment.  

VOTERS CURRENTLY ENROLLED in any party may only make changes to their enrollment up to the 16th day prior to any election.

If you wish to change your enrollment, you may do so in person at your town office, at a voter registration drive, or online: voterrev922.pdf (maine.gov)      voterregguide1122.pdf (maine.gov)

UNENROLLED VOTERS may choose to enroll in a party at any time, including election day.

Once enrolled in a party, a voter must stay in that party for 3 months before being qualified to change enrollment again.
