Municipal Advisory Committee
The Warren Municipal Advisory Committee (formerly TIF committee) is responsible for long-term planning and advising on issues of economic development, resiliency, TIF districts, and grant funded municipal projects.
Committee Tasks Include:
- Playing a key role in facilitating public input, raising concerns from residents, and advising on municipal projects and services. offering community perspectives on town issues, development plans, and policies.
- Oversight and budget preparations related to Warren’s Tax Increment Financing Districts—special zones where incremental tax revenue is sheltered from negatively impacting state revenue share, school aid formulas, and county taxation, and in turn the revenue is earmarked for redevelopment, infrastructure, public facilities, and economic development.
- Serving as the Town's advisory committee for involvement in the statewide Community Resilience Partnership, which involves grant writing, grant management, and implementation of long-term resilience projects.
