Meet Your Selectmen

The five member Board of Selectmen consist of a Chair and Vice Chair and are elected by it's members annually.  The Board of Selectmen hold their seats for three years.  The Town Manager is responsible for the day to day operations of the Town, preparing and presenting the budget.

Chair of the Board

Wayne Luce is currently serving his 4th term on the Board of Selectmen.  Wayne’s involvement with the town began at an early age when his mother served as Town Clerk in their home for over 20 years.  He served as Deputy Clerk and fill in for her when needed.  He was a member of the Warren Ambulance when it was first started.  He was a longtime member of the Tiger Engine Co.  Wayne also previously served as the Plumbing Inspector for the town.  He has served on both SAD/RSU #40 School Board and School Region #8 Board.  Wayne is also a member of the Waldoboro Transfer Station Committee.  He has been a member of the Warren IOOF Lodge #127 since 1972.  He worked at BIW for 29 years.  He has been in business since 1973 doing rubbish removal.  Wayne was born and raised here in Warren and was a graduate of MVHS class of 1972.

Jan Macdonald

Vice Chair of the Board

Long-time resident Jan Macdonald grew up in Warren and graduated from the Warren High School.  Jan then went on to acquire her RN, graduating from Eastern Maine General Hospital in Bangor.  After living "away" for a while she and her husband Fred moved back to Warren and opened Barley Joe Greenhouses.  Jan is actively involved in many community programs, and loves Warren and the people in and around town.  Being on the Select Board is a new experience for Jan, but she trusts folk's input to help her meet the town's needs.
